Executive Board
Jasmin Johnson, Psy.D. - President
Jasmin is a Medical Science Liaison for the Pharmaceutical Industry. She has been involved with OCAF since 2002 when her mother was under treatment for ovarian cancer. She lives in Daytona Beach with her husband, Jack.

Mitra Sorrells - Vice-President
Mitra was first touched by ovarian cancer when she was in college and her mother was diagnosed with the disease. She became involved with OCAF shortly after moving to Central Florida in 2000. With her background in journalism, she has concentrated on working with the media for OCAF’s various events and initiatives. Mitra lives in Windermere with her husband, Tom and their three daughters.

Maureen Brockman - Secretary
Maureen is the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission. She is on the board of United Cerebral Palsy of Central Florida and is a member of the Catholic Diocese of Orlando School Board, as well as other local boards. She became involved with OCAF after her aunt was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Maureen lives in Orlando with her husband, Chris and four children.

JoEllen R. Click - Treasurer
JoEllen is past president of the OCAF board, and currently serves as Training Specialist for the Central Florida Region of M&I Bank. She serves on the Feed the Need Benefit Committee to help raise funds for the Christian Service Center of Central Florida. JoEllen began volunteering with OCAF in 2002, motivated by the death of her mother from ovarian cancer in 1999. JoEllen lives in College Park.


Board Members

Cheryl Belfay, MAS

Cheryl is President/Co-Owner of AD Tangibles, a promotional products agency started in 1989 as AD SOURCE. She also serves on the boards of the Orlando Repertory Theatre and Florida Executive Women and is a Community Advisor Emeritus for the Junior League of Greater Orlando. She is past chair of the GOCC Small Business Chamber and of the Leadership Alumni Community Service Committee. Cheryl’s involvement with OCAF stems from her professional relationship with Bonnie Donihi. Cheryl lives in Orlando with her husband, Eric Schwab.

Kelly Bernish

After 25 years with Anheuser-Busch and Seaworld Parks as director of Environmental Health and Safety. She now leads the Safety & Health Operations team at the Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts, U.S. She has two teenage  daughters and is committed to the advancement of women’s issues; including mentoring young women transitioning into the safety profession by serving as the International Chairperson for Women in Safety Engineering as well as serving as Chairperson for the Alliance of Central  Florida Safety.

Marty Chan

Marty is a political consultant in Seminole County, and is founder of Private Business Association of Seminole County (PBAS). She originally joined OCAF as a volunteer for the Teal Magnolia Luncheon. Marty lives in Longwood with her husband, Keylor.

Belinda Cooper

Belinda is Vice President/Retail Manager of City National Bank in downtown Orlando. Belinda has been in banking downtown for more than twenty five years and she also serves on the board of the Downtown Orlando Partnership.  Belinda lives in Winter Park with her husband, Jeff. They are empty nesters now!!

Carrie Fish

Carrie is the Chief Operating Officer at Florida Hospital/Waterman. She earned her B.S. degree in business administration from University of North Texas and is on the Board of Directors of SunriseArc. Carrie lives in Mount Dora with her husband, Dale.

Jeanne Lowke

Jeanne serves on the board as a patient advocate and is an eight-year ovarian cancer survivor. She is responsible for expanding the Lunch Bunch program around Central Florida and currently facilitates the Orlando group. Jeanne also volunteers at the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute Gynecologic Oncologist chemo room. She lives in Mount Dora with her husband, Bob.

Judy Van Der Weide

Judy spends her retirement by giving back. She is currently on the board of the Seminole County Prayer Breakfast as well as the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center. Judy lives in Longwood with her husband, Dick.

Teresa Zamboni

Teresa is the Director of Tournaments for Ladies Links Fore Golf, and is the recipient of the 2007 LPGA Teacher of the Year Award. She became involved with OCAF shortly after her sister was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Teresa chairs OCAF’s annual golf tournament. She lives in Port Orange.
