The Bag of Hope is designed for women who have recently been diagnosed with ovarian cancer to let them know that they are not alone. These bags are kept stocked in gynecologic oncologists offices in the Orlando area. Each kit has been created in response to the expressed need, by women diagnosed with ovarian cancer. It has both readily available and reliable information on what patients should know about ovarian cancer and what to expect regarding treatment and support. The contents of the Bag of Hope fulfill the initial need to become educated about the diagnosis and where to turn. Information about the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Florida (OCAF) is also included to help the patient find a source for their continued needs.
