What is an OCAF Teal Ribbon 5K Walk/Run Team?

A team in the Teal Ribbon Run is a group of family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers or any group of people who want to get together for this event.  Each Team raises money in the desire to help OCAF educate and raise awareness of the early detection of ovarian cancer.

How Do I Start a Team, or Sign Up My Team?

First, choose a distinctive name for your team.  Then register online at www.active.com or download the registration kit at www.ocaf.org.  Be sure to set goal for your team.  First, set a monetary goal.  Second write or email a letter and send it to family and friends requesting support.  Third, recruit your team!  Encourage each team member to strive towards his/her personal goal as well as the team goal.

What Resources Are Available To Us?

All of the information you need to set up a team and register for the walk as well as fundraising tips and ovarian cancer information, can be found on the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Florida’s website, www.ocaf.org, or by calling the OCAF office at 407 339-0024.  As you recruit your team, have them register online and be sure they indicate they will be part of your team.

What Can We Expect on the Day of The Event?

The Teal Ribbon Run will be a day featuring a 5K as well as vendor tables, goody bags, prizes and most importantly FUN while helping an important cause.  You’ll have a great time, get exercise and spend some quality time with family and friends.  Help make a difference in the lives of those who have been touched by ovarian cancer.
